About Misako
As General Manager for Alexion Japan, Misako leads the rare disease commercial operations and country functional teams within Japan. Misako brings more than 30 years of industry experience to this role, most recently as the Head of the Rare Diseases, Japan Pharma Business Unit at Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited. She also held various leadership roles in sales, portfolio management, and business development, bringing with her rich and diverse experience and knowledge from across the industry.
Misako graduated from Kyoto University Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences and received her PhD from Juntendo University Graduate School of Medicine. She also holds an MBA from Business Breakthrough University in Japan.
